{ CHC 25th Anniversary }
It has been like.. 6 years since I joined City Harvest Church. I don't really know what made me stay, but I think mainly because of the friends (initially) that were so nice to me and people that really want to have fun. I've never had so many friends in life, and honestly my church friends make up 80% of the contacts in my phone. So yes, every single one of my friends in church made a difference.
From joining N349 to N421 to N507 now, the different members really add up to the joy that I feel whenever I'm with them. Not forgetting Usher Ministry and Dance Ministry. Throughout these 6 years, I've seen people grow up and mature and also of course these people watched me grow too. I think God is really doing something wonderful in the lives of everyone. :) There's not a single person I know that stayed the same 6 years ago as compared to now.
Indeed, 25 years is not easy to go through. I wasn't there at the beginning so I cannot say much, but I was there when the case first broke out, when many people lost hope but still cling on to Jesus. This gave me encouragement and even more faith that better things have yet to come.
this picture if kind of small and very compacted, but still, here's a short (or maybe not that short) list of people and groups of people I want to thank the past 6 years. A very short version.
Vk: For inviting me to church and being such an amazing friend.
Nixi: For being my first CGL and taught me many things.
Anzoe & Linda: For being my CGC and helping me to grow in my walk with God.
Jess: For opening up my eyes to the ECH field, and also being my CGL.
Jiayong: There's so many things I want to thank you for, there's just not enough room for words.
Merilyn: For being the big sister and an amazing friend to me.
Yoga, Austin, Haoyi: For just being my awesome group of very random buddies.
Dorothy: For listening to me and being there for me at my lowest point.
Usher Ministry: For showing me that even little effort counts.
Dance Ministry: For bringing joy and showing that consistency is important. N421: For being the CRAZIEST group of people ever! You guys will always be the craziest people around in my life. N507: For supporting me and one another in our walk with God and to always add joy into the lives of one another. Remus: For letting me press into your life. Zaccheus: For opening up your life to me, and listening to me. N515: For being my 'second cell group' and letting me feel younger whenever I am with you! Hahah. Rachel: For going H&M with me and being all hipster with me ya. Nicole: For going crazy singing and dancing with me. Wanxin, Heather, Brenda: For being crazy swifties with me! Jesus: For Your never-ending grace and strength that brought me through times in my life. And for loving me, accept me for who I am. |
