Team Peeta or Team Gale? (Warning: This post will spoil the movie that's coming up & also the book. Continue reading at your own risk) Of course, if you know me well enough, I am a super fan of The Hunger Games Trilogy. The whole book is a lot of action and of course romance. But the things that everyone is talking about is like "are you team gale or team peeta?" And actually by asking/saying that, the readers are like the people of the capitol, focusing only on the romance part of Katniss and ignoring the real motive and meaning behind the whole games. Personally, I get very frustrated when I read the 3 books, especially in Catching Fire and Mockingjay.. Because Katniss have to constantly choose Peeta or Gale. If I'm Katniss, I really don't know. Who do I love more? My all-time best friend that helped my family and literally grew up with me, or someone that saved my life in the games and I owe my life to him? Honestly it is a very hard decision, and I really don't know why Katniss choose Peeta in the end. Personally, I'm Team Gale. But then there will be this person in my life that I literally owe whatever I have now to. But in Mockingjay my heart just broke, to see that the capitol tortured Peeta till he's a totally different person. It is really scary. That's why I'm frustrated cause in Catching Fire I'm still pretty much Team Gale, but in Mockingjay, I can't help but Team Peeta... Then again, she could have took this chance to totally just forget about Peeta. But she cant. OH THIS IS SO COMPLICATED! In Mockingjay, Katniss had to slowly help Peeta to regain his memory and risking Peeta killing her anytime because the capitol has changed his mind to think that Katniss is a mutt and is deemed as an enemy. They came up with a game or 'Real or Not Real' where Peeta says a statement of something he remembers and he will ask if it is real or not real. And then there's this part Peeta asked Katniss.. "You love me. Real or not real" "Real." I LOST IT OMG THIS PART I CAN CRY SERIOUSLY. even if im reading a book. I'm pretty much convinced to be in team Peeta in Mockingjay because I pitied him.. I don't know.... This book just leaves me hanging. But all I know is that Katniss ends up with Peeta and not Gale :(( still, it is a good book! To the extent I'll watch Catching Fire in the CINEMA twice. I've never watched a movie in the cinema twice before. When I watch the second time, the feels are still there, especially when Mags ran right into the fog... I JUST OMGGGGG..... Hahaha. Oh this post is just me fangirling about something again. As usual. |
