First world problems.
Guess what I'm going to talk about in this post?
Yeap. Makeup.
Personally, I don't like to do makeup. Not only because I don't know how to do it, but I don't really see a need to do it. Okay, maybe except those days where I really have stuff on my face that I want to cover or some big occasions like weddings then I'll wear. But if not, I'd rather go naked. Besides, I don't see much difference when I put on makeup and when I don't use them. Here's an example:
I don't see much of a difference because I have a pretty thick double eyelid. Well, except for like those performance makeup, that is a different case. Of course I'll look different for that. At least my bare face is presentable. Unlike some people who look EXTREMELY DIFFERENT with and without makeup.
See what I mean.
Hahaha, thank God for natural beauty! ;) So what made me suddenly want to talk about cosmetics and makeup? This is because something that Jo shared during the Big Girls Ministry meeting on Saturday. She shared that one of her friend (a guy) thinks that it is rude for a girl to go and talk to him without makeup on. It is as though you are talking to him when you are naked and not wearing any clothes.
To me, that's just simply rubbish. (and rude)
I think putting on makeup is like enhancing what you already have. People now should learn to appreciate bare beauty. I mean, just look at my cell group. NONE of the girls wears makeup, but do we look good? Of course we do. I believe the person inside of you will always outshine the outer appearance. But then again, I did not say that makeup isn't important. It maybe just isn't that vital to me. I mean, compared to people with single eyelid, the use of eyeliner will make a HUGE difference. But to me, it doesn't. So in a way, eyeliner isn't important to me. But it isn't totally useless either.
Personally I don't really care if someone is wearing makeup or not. So be it, even if you don't. I really don't understand why is it a big deal on a day-to-day basis.
