Fuzzy Frisbee
So, last Saturday was the preliminaries for all the sports event for Emerge 2012! Personally, I am part of one of the event. I am one of the members of Team JOL for Fuzzy Frisbee! The day started out wonderful, the weather was awesome, not too hot. But on the other hand, it was quite cold too! I woke up at like 6.30am for like the first time in 7 months because there wasn't a need for me to do it the past 7 months. I had a hard time waking up, but made it out of the bed anyway! I got my uncle to fetch me to Sengkang Sports and Recreation Center and met the rest at MacDonalds. At that time, it was raining pretty heavily.. 
I was thinking "oh no, how to play in this weather.." but nevertheless, the weather didn't dampen my team and my mood, we were all so excited and ready for the game! :D The committee also sent out an SMS to all of the participants that the event will commence at a later time due to the rain, but thankfully the rain died down a little after that and it was possible for us to play in the small drizzle. All the teams for the sports events registered at their various location and were brought to their playing field. For the Frisbee players, we had to walk some distance to reach our playing ground. When we reach there, the kind of ground that we were on was the last one I want to play a game of Frisbee in. It was all wet, muddy and some tall grasses here and there, it was pretty gross and hard to run in! This was the first challenge of the day for me, to run on the uneven grass. But I tried my best anyway.
When we were all settled down, we were given a briefing about how the game will be played and how the whole competition will go that day and then we continued to retrieve our 'fuzzy goggles'. The whole point of the fuzzy goggles is for us to experience how it is like to be visually impaired, and therefore have a heart for them. Throughout this game, it was definitely hard especially when we have our goggles on or our spectacles taped and drawn. The goggles sometimes gets very foggy because of the difference in the body temperature and the rain outside. This makes it super hard to see everything! You get what I mean, right? (:
And so the games begun, for my team, we actually lost the 1st match, but since they are playing a league, we had to play against another team also. Honestly, 20 minutes of Frisbee is really very tiring. It is not as simple as most people who think it is just throwing and catching of the Frisbee. It is almost like a game of Captain's Ball except the fact that we use a disc instead of a ball. In the second round, JOL won (: However, unfortunately we didn't make it into the top 4. But that's alright, it's all about having fun! Though we didn't win, but the new friendship that I've made and the fellowship together is irreplaceable by anything in this world! It was really an awesome experience!
The training for this game is hard, definitely not easy or anything. Some of us injured ourselves, or like me, got hit by a Frisbee because we didn't catch the Frisbee on time. I will never forget once Kaiser threw a Frisbee and it was so fast that I didn't duck on time and it hit my ankle area, it sort of ended up with a blue black in less than 10 seconds. Hahaha. The mini games we play in between out team was also hard and it was that time that I realise Frisbee isn't an easy sport AT ALL!

Just a little update after my hong kong trip post! haven't been posting much.. okay, let's see what great interesting thing happen.. oh yes yes, sunday. Morning went to play a few rounds of kinect for free at the CC cause they have event. and yeah, just play for fun! then went home to change and went out again for UM Cluster outing! me and my sister late. Lol, together. we played the so-called amazing race, and guess what? My group won! HEEEHEE :D it's really really cool cause we have a KOI hamper as a present! I guess they kept too long and the pearl sort of became sticky and all ): but still, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!! and throughout the whole thanksgiving event at the restaurant, i was going crazy with yvette! :P i even sabo her to do questions! yeah, that's what friends are for! we are too hyped (or hungry!) that day! when they said that we can go take our food, we both like one of the first few to go there! and we went for a second round some more.... like kiasu only lor! hahaha :) and they also had some award presentation. nope, i didn't win my sunshine award like two years ago, instead i won the Zealous For Christ award :) i was surprised actually, very surprised. but still, thank God for it! yeah, the whole day was pretty fun, and tiring of course. went back home and had a good night sleep after one crazy weekend. Monday.. I spend my whole day woth dear :) he knew i wanted to watch disney movies and he went and download some! we watched Beauty And The Beast! hehehe~ we were suppose to go for BBQ chalet with tingyan but he has school so i went to dear's house first. then we finally met tingyan and his girlf! hahaha! and nic was like alone... oops. yeah, went to the chalet and we play monopoly deal, uno. i tell you, this is the LONGEST uno game i've ever played! omg.. nobody ever wins! and also i kept on talking to tingyan's cousin. he's super good at talking back, but still, cute! Hahahahah! he has the most rated song for his age.. omg. And yeah, that's fun! and so after waiting for some time, we finally got to eat ^^ hehehehe! yum yumm! but that night i gotta go back early ): so dear sent me back. okay, he's so sweet. I don't know what to say, he could have took cab with tingyan and nic they all back home but instead he sent me back. and it's like he sends me back all the time. Ahhh, i really appreciate that. Correct me if im wrong, not all boyfriend do that right? so i'm really thankful for him! <3 <3 that was monday, tuesday and wednesday i had nothing much to do, so i went to library and borrowed movies to watch ^^ yup, that was past few days. eventful and fun! i'm finally going hong kong again!! yay!! :)) heehee excited! many things to buy and all. i'm gonna miss my dear for that few days.. ^^ but also, i spent my whole friday with him. love it so much. (: ohh today, sunday. had CG outing to ECP! rather fun. but i was pretty stone cuz i ton! lolol. dear came over to my house and he was suppose to study! thn we end up watching movie. Yes, prom. Or to be exact, Cambridge Dinner. And i just realised why they called it 'Cambridge Dinner' cuz it is like the end of our O level cambridge paper .__. i was like "wuttt.." when Ms Yoong told us the meaning behind it. anyway, yesterday started out with me going to vk's house and then going off to meet tasha and denise for lunch ^^ we had Pastamania, it's like a FEAST man. like really a lot of food! :O like 2 pasta, 1 pizza, 1 appetizer, 1 desert, 4 drink/soup! omg.. and we paid like 11 buck each person.. so that's cool. after eating vk and tasha went got glacious then we went back to vk's house to do our makeup and everything. i was the first to finish cuz i didn't do much like to my hair and all, i simply pop on my dress, some makeup, my headband and i'm done. then abigail came and I had to help tasha, denise and abigail to put on their makeup.. my first time helping peeps to do their makeup, quite successful. :D anyway, we had some time to spare after all of us are done. so we camwhore a little! like my usual doings.. heh.  tasha got her daddy to fetch us ^^ heh, thank God mans. yeap, and so we went on the car and went to our Goodwood Park hotel. The hotel is like atas only :O it's really pretty.. we hang around a little, take more pics before heading into the ballroom. like a pretty only~ i think we were the first few, so we didn't go through the line of teachers :P hehehehe. but we also didn't wear anything wrong. so nevermind that. we continue to take pic, then the 3 of us went to ask Ms Ong to take pic w us, then she told us "later" which we apparently forgot. HAHA. but she complimented how I looked like :D heehee. then yeah, the night finally officially began. had a few thing which i'm not that interested in except the Lucky Draw :D apparently Germaine won the starbucks voucher and Vienna.. she.. freaking won the top prize of $50 Capitaland voucher! omg lah. she can shop again.. Jealous much! anyway, we had great food!! :D      the night was fun! with loads and loads of pics. and I love that photobooth station! so fun! we took many pics at the photobooth station too! so fun! hehehehe.    and the sad thing about the night is that my shoe (that vk lend me) broke. The past 3 days spent at sentosa :D really made me sort of sick of it already.. Hhahaha. I mean, we walk around it so much that I'm really sick of all of it~ oops! but over there I loved all the sunset :) So... wednesday. Me, vienna, vk and tasha went down to Vivo together. and shop for food and drinks for chalet. We had some time to spare while waiting for yanting and so we went to the sky park and play and did some nice jumpshots!   So finally headed down to Sentosa, we slacked a while at the macs while waiting for Esther and we camwhored..    heh heh. there's also this yucky catipillar and yanting killed it! so gross lah! omg :x okay.. after they finished eating their ice cream we went and find our chalet.. at first thought that the door is locked, but it is actually not -.- hahaha. so we went into the chalet room and found out that it's actually pretty small.. uh-oh! but we didn't really care much about that and just move the bed a little here and there and we quickly changed and put on lotion for our fun day at the beach. me and vienna put on the tanning lotion.. okay after that we went and slack in the sun a little and took more pics :D    i found a pic that i really love that's too obscene to be any profile picture or display picture.. hee hee :D then vk and some others went for a walk or what they call 'buy toys to build sandcastle' and leave me, vienna and tasha alone there.. we got bored and i went back to change and slack in the room!  we watched MTV. they were showing the 'Sexy and I know it' music video.. we were all laughing and getting horny cu of the shaking.. and the wiggles. you know what i mean~ then yeah, waited for all of them to shower and all then we went to koufu for dinner.. don't know what to eat. everything is so expensive.. ): sians! after dinner we went to the Southern-most point of continental asia. and i figured out that it is the plate.. like the asian plate. and since indonesia belongs to the indo-australia plate, it makes that point the southern-most point. :D it was a beautiful, beautiful sunset :D really pretty :D     then we slowly walked back and walked to RWS.. hang around a little here and there then took the tram back because we were too lazy and tired to walk back :D yeah. then we went back and slacked in the chalet room since it is already night time! i was the first few to sleep.. so not much action. next morning we all woke up early ^^ had macs breakfast. we were like the first customers of the day!! LOL.. then we went for our USS :D super fun! experience the thrill of the Battlestar Galatica again!! this time, I tried the Cylon first. aka the more thrilling one :D yay! hahaha. super fun. me, vienna, yanting and esther were the crazy siao-on all the rides one! we went on the battlestar's Cylon twice! and also the Return Of The Mummy ride :D so funny. we all pose together!! SUPER CUTE. then we soon got bored and started hunting for the mascots to take pics with! we look so pwetttty!! oh, and i also saw Minchih and Dawne. well, i exected dawne there, but not Minchih! she saw me and purposely bump into me and like "oh! 不小心撞到你！" and i was like LOL! yup yup! i also receive a call from someone about some job at RWS that day and need me to go down to the interview straight away. it turned out horrible. well, maybe not THAT horrible. but i think i didn't get through. so nevermind that ^^ by the time i went back only yanting and tasha left in the room, the rest went to watch 2359. and vk came back so afraid to close the toilet door to shower -.- LOLL! then at night for no apparent reason i CANNOT fall asleep. i was suer energetic at like 1.30am. and i decided, that's it. i'm gonna TON. and guess what? i did it. the consecquence is me stonning and that stupid 8 mosquito bites and endless ants bites.. and only me and tasha ton .__. LOL. we walked around a lot.. like from beaches to beaches to RWS and back to beaches.. sian ttm!  we were waiting for sunrise! LOL. and i first time successfully ton okay! probably cu of the coffee bean i drank at like 10pm.. but it can last so long meh! i also facetimed Ecclesia, she had a shock! she was like "what are you doing at this hour of the day!" HAHAH. super funny! okay, so we sort of went to the wrong beach. so the sunrise isn't that perfect. and hence we went back to chalet.. and shower. and SLEPT. well, isn't that what tonning is all about? LOL! then we gotta check out.. and then we went back home :)  vk came my house.. i shower and slept in the living room on the floor with my mattress, vk slept on my sofa. so we're like two logs sleeping there! heehheee! then i woke up and gotta go cell group alr! i was still in stonning mode. hahahaha.. The finale of Os was the MCQ paper. it wasn't really easy, nor hard. Just manageable. It was tricky though. Yeah, i didn't go and check my answer even though it was right in front of my eyes. :) i just didnt want to destroy my mood! so, our official last day of school what did we do? camwhore. i mean, 2nd last time in school uniform. Not that I'll miss wearing it, but the photos are just for keeps! memories mah! :) after the MCQ paper went to nex for sogurt w vk and tasha. then went home to change and off to dhoby to meet dear :D walked around and had dinner before going back home again for a guitar practice session w jiayong and doro! I think i made doro join us.. hmm... I DONT KNOW :P so yeah, the time was quite fruitful! enjoyed myself and yup! after that session doro and jy went and have dinner w me jq and my parents. LOL. jess was saying it sounds like some meet-the-parents session~ like funny uh! HAHAH! that's all for monday! today.. woke up early for job interview at Bodynits @ Tanah Merah.. i got through the interview but i rejected the job. cuz of the distance from home and the pay. ohwell, i gave it to Glenn though :) i hope he'll like it there. meanwhile, after the interview, i went to kallang to find mummy and to do my hair! highlighted them! :) pretty in brownish gold. then went to bugis and meet vk, vienna, tasha and denise! so long since the five of us went out together! :) kinda miss it! hehehe. we went City Plaza and i see many nice clothes... heeee. must 忍! until HK then i full blast my shopping! I'm no Greyson Chance fan, but I do admit that he can really sing well. At least I think better than bieber when he first started out. Bieber literally sound like a girl, and Chance doesn't. Yeah, and I have no idea why I title this post 'Hold On Till The Night' probably cuz I just went and listen how the song sounded like.. hmmm.. and I guess it would fit what I'm gonna cuz I'm mainly gonna post about stuff I did the past few nights. (okay, sounds wrong) Friday: well, as part of the 7 days in-reach challenge, me jq rach and nicole cooked for the cellgroup! :D hahaha, it was a super fun exerience! I mean like.. the food ended up super yummy too! we cooked omelette, dumpling soup, spaghetti and mushroom soup! had quite a feast! and little accident in the middle of cooking the soup! :x we didn't watch the soup and it spilled.. wasted some time. but really fun!  and who knew the product would be so wonderful and yummy? :D  ahh, one of the memorable moment spent with N507 and N421 :D and fellowship time = crazy time. we totally like blasted Party Rock Anthem and we shuffled!! at least 5 of us went mad! well, obviously I'm also one of them! and i think Rickson video us down, hmm.. i wonder where did that video go to! LOL! and also, some of us went crazy and camwhored!  okay, this is retarded! but we had fun!! HAHAHA. anyway, that's about all for friday! super crazy and fun day I had with my friends! Saturday: I woke up remembering that it's saturday and panic for a few minutes wondering if there's dance ministry training.. thank God some people relied early, so i headed down to Scape! I miss going over there for dance! :D it's like a every saturday thing now! and i went there like some lost sheep.. LOL. everyone was practicing some choro and i'm like "oh, hi. what are you guys doing?" and totally noob. and i learnt that we are performing for CHRISTMAS! for childrens' church! (: yayyyy! and guess what? We're dancing Kpop! hahaha. maybe the older kids would understand, but not the younger ones! anyway, headed down to the JOL big day after the sharing session in dance minstry! we were given this cute smiley face mask which I love!  looks kind of funny, i know! but it's cute! HAHAH. then went for service and John Bevere came to preach. woah, he's good mans! really :O and the book 'Relentless' seems so nice! i feel like getting it and reading it! anyway, after that have fellowship at the usual place. and after eating I taught nicole and rachel the Can't Nobody dance! cool eh? and of course, our usual stuff, CAMWHORING. i can say this week is the week where jiayong camwhore with us the most! oh, i just remember, he owe us the 'Can I Have This Dance' performance! hmmm.. talking about that, he also taught me and vienna waltz, a little. it seems fun! hahaha :D just that im suppose to be the guy and vienna is suppose to be the girl and i'm shorter thn her .__. awkward. HAHA!     sure was fun! Hahahah! and i didn't know jiayong could do the split jump thing! omg, and i took a pic of him doing it, im amazed like WOAH. really mans! hidden talent. and while on the way back we met this small girl, she's like philipino or something.. she was playing with the bar and like jumping and clinging to it. (she's only 3 or 4) then there was once she jumped and slide down and she held her down there and then said "ouch. my puwet!" me and rachel laughed like for dunnoe how long! and apparently we both were the only ones that heard it. hahah! she's super funny. and when she alighted at paya lebar w her family she said "later come play with me okay!" and we just laugh cuz we're not alighting! hahah. tomorrow's monday. science MCQ. the end of O level, the end of our secondary school education. ohgosh. im feeling old. honestly, i still don't miss going school. i only miss the teachers. the nice ones, that is. hahah :D i'm still biased. and Annabelle say that tomorrow we're gonna have Royce, from Mr Teo! like ZOMG! i didn't even remember that... that's sweet okay~ i honestly think 4B1 has the best teachers, FORM teachers :D really. esp Ms Pearl Lee and Rajah, forever treating us goodies like ice cream and all! heh heh! im biased again. Yeah, today is pretty fun! I did shopping and tried on a few dresses that I didn't buy. And also, finally i buy my dress :) the simple-looking dress! nope, i don't know why i didn't take a pic with it.. heh. anyway, i end up having vk at my house. she used my phone to play while i just fall asleep :/ i teach her how to play Minesweeper, the classic game. and i was telling her like "finally the game made sense!" hahaha. then Rachel came my house and we went nex... eat and met nicole and came back home. We watched 'Tangled' then the rest came and join us! hahaha ^^ finished the movie and play mahjong! :) so fun~ they left and zr, ks, wk and vienna stayed! we watched 'Up' and i also facetime-ed with Ecclesia! we took pic and all~ so fun! So weekends were as usual :) But just a little last minute date w boyf! <3 for koi! and tasha asked me to deliver to her house and she pay me! Not worth it! so no deal! :P soo.. went Clementi. without my EZ-link, how smart of me. then had to call my sister meet me at Clementi to pass me the card -.- heh! lol. then we had koi and stuff and went to jurong point walk walk and made Tingyan's cake :) it looks pretty nice okay, although not the best cause i didnt draw on it like how i used to, but ohwell! it is made with LOVE! hahaha! yeap then i head off to church at jw! yesterday i saw liyun like thrice. twice in clementi mall and once at church toilet... HMMM.. and we both like "wah, today keep on seeing you everywhere i go!" HAHAH! ^^ oh, and i met jess and jq and went and queue tgt. it has been quite some time since i last talk to jess. then jiayong, rachel and nicole came and join us :) i dont know how we got a front row... but we just did ^^ LOL. magic happens! or maybe someone booked for us or something.. then yeap! had service then fellowship shared food with nicole, rachel and jq. pretty good! we share different kinda bread and popcorn! :D and then we had a little suprise for nicole.. me and zr was suppose to do our phy and chem challenge. but in the end didnt! :x yicks! hehehe. and so we went back home.. or rather. go jurong point again and went back w doro's cg! i made new friends! okay, not exactly new. but they are on my facebook (idk how?) and i dont know them in life :/ yeah. Ryan and Jimmy are funny mansss!! HAHAH. we chatted with them otw back home :) had fun! heh! yeah, and that's about all. Today is officially 15 days away from freedom.
