Cruise // Phuket & Langkawi  So, over the long weekend I went for a cruise trip. Well, this trip is really impromptu, like it was planned 3 weeks in advance. So yeah, that's pretty impromptu if you are considering going overseas for a few days. Anyway, it is the first time we got the balcony room and boy, it is really worth it! I love the balcony room where you can just sit at the balcony and stare out into the vast ocean while blasting worship songs. Of course, sometimes I am worries that the people at the next room who happen to be at the balcony will be unhappy so I'm constantly conscious especially when it is night time or early in the morning when I blast those songs. Anyhow, let's start from the very beginning. After boarding the cruise (and still carrying our bags), we had this welcome drink. I had this temptation to choose something alcoholic, but I didn't so I got a glass of orange juice and enjoyed the music while just chilling out (still with our bags) and watching people slowly stroll into the lobby. After which we checked in and slacked in the room and balcony. 
Obviously, I was having the time of my life slacking at the balcony looking out, enjoying the wind and saying the last goodbye on my phone to my friends. Hahaha! Soon after we went down to do some walk around and also eat our first meal. Oh, before I forget. My mom actually got this deal from some travel agency and it gives the 3 of us $200 to spend on board the ship on anything related to F&B. Yeah, so we walked around and then had this annoying emergency exercise that we have to go and it was boring, stood there for like about 15 minutes to 20 minutes just watching people teaching us about how to use the life jacket... -_- After that, we went back in and there was the Star Cruise mascot, the penguin! I quickly took the opportunity to snap a quick photo with it!
When all that was done, we decided to settle down. My mom went and play bingo game and I'm off for a swim. Then I remembered I cannot swim without goggles. I tried, but it was really hard. I also have no idea how to thread water too, I don't know how can some people do it so easily like it doesn't take any effort at all. It is so hard for me. So yeah, I just dipped myself in the water for some time, played with the 3-story slide two times and then went off to the jacuzzi. After that, got up and shower and changed for dinner. I'm generally not hungry, but we just keep eating? Hahah, getting fat already lah! So dinner we had it at some fancy restaurant. (Every food place on the cruise is restaurant) The food was... wow. Besides the physical presentation of the food, the taste is not bad too! The moment we got to out table, I started LOL-ing at the spoons and forks. I told jiaqi "the awkward oment you don't know which set of spoon and fork to use at the table...." Hahaha, it literally happened. So whatever lah, I just use any spoon and fork I liked! Hahah. Sorry I cannot remember the names properly, because I have bad memory hahah! But anyway, the food is too posh. Hahah. After dinner we went around and realized that there's some free magic show so we went and watch. I'm not exactly too fascinated by it because the music at the theatre was too loud and the magician's sense of humour is like.. almost there but not there yet. So I couldn't laugh at his jokes, even though I tried to! But his ONE trick that fascinated me was the trick where she floated his assistant, so this lady is just lying down and floating in mid air. That's pretty cool okay.
 Day 2. Like any other trip, the first night usually I don't sleep for very long. So I woke up at about 8.30am, went for breakfast at I forgot where and then walked around. We bought some coffee that allows us to have 2 hours of free wifi. So I used that 2 hours wifi to whatsapp, skype and do whatever I want to do. We walked around arcade and all then go back to the room after the 2 hours to change and then followed my mom's request to go for a swim. This time, the pool is FILLED with people. Generally the pool is deep, like 1.9m to 2.5m, obviously the 1.5m JM is too short for this and I have to be at the side since I can't swim. My mom can't swim either. So she didn't really go into the main pool, she went to the jacuzzi instead. And I followed. After we are done with our dipping water (I mean, we didn't swim) we went out to get some sun! The sun was HOT and I got darker. Not sure yay or nay, but.. ya. HAhaha.

 Pardon my sloppy outfit, I was feeling lazy that afternoon. Hahah, but yeah. This is him! I mean, you can totally imagine him as a girl right? :D :D Hahah. So after that dance went back to the room to rest and SLEEP for one hour before changing and getting ready to stop at Phuket! I'm so excited, first time in Thailand! We waited for the ship to arive and meanwhile I do some crazy picture with my sister. Which you can see it all on my facebook. Then when we were about to reach, my sister and I wanted to take some pictures of the sun. And the next moment I know, I WAS WATCHING SUNSET. I can't believe it, like it was happening right infront of my eyes. I didn't even planned to watch sunset but it just happened. It is like one of the most magical and beautiful thing ever. :) After the sun set, we got out stickers and moved to Lido Theater. Apparently my sticker number was like 230+ and my mom and sis got sticker that says 260+ and the next moment they called out people with number 99 to 250 to leave and get on the boat ride to mainland phuket. My mom was worried, but for me, I was EXCITED! Like taking the boat alone is so cool and like stepping into thailand alone. Scary, but yet exciting at the same time. I was so excited. I waited for my mom and my sister at the beach before heading down to shop and get stuff. The shops there mainly sold similar items, so we didn't get much. I got my hair done, that killed quite a lot of time. Yeah, and now I look like some girl ready to dance reggae anytime!   Day 3! We did nothin much actually, had breakfast then it was time for us to leave for Langkawi. The waters were beautiful, it was jade green. But I only wish I saw CLEAR waters instead of these jade green ones. But nevertheless, it is still really beautiful!       Not a lot, but yeap! It is some good stuff! So after packing all our harvest, we had to prepare for this gala night. We booked out place in a restaurant and we're in for some GOOD FOOD! (again!) And all these are for free, so I'm happy!   I think it looks like grilled bbq chicken from this picture, but it is actually a fish! SO YEAP.. This is the best food ever! After dinner, we went to the Activit Center and we got some snake and ladder and also Uno to play. Hahah, chill :) Day 4, last day! Went for buffet breakfast again and I ALMOST GOT THE WESTERN FOOD WAFFLES, but it was gone. The person infront of me got it, then it is gone :( le sigh, oh well. Then just continued the buffet with bread and other food. Then since we have nothing much to do, my sister and I decided to go and play some golf. Well.. we ended up playing only for a short while and then we went and take some crazy jumpshots and poses at the helipad, helicpotor landing area! :D   That's pretty much about all that we've done on the cruise. It was an enjoyable time as it was my first time in Phuket, Thailand and also Langkawi! :) Next destination - Bangkok, Thailand! I can't wait for more shopping! Oh, my course is also ending soon, in like 7 days time.. Time pass too quickly man. |
