Tied Together With A Smile :) Okay, I have to admit. This blog post is something that I have been delaying. Well, I don't exactly have the time the past week to actually blog so this is going to be a long post. I had one of the busiest weekend ever this year but I enjoyed myself really much! But before I blog about this weekend, I shall share about what happened exactly one week ago. (I had to go in order!) So, one week ago I went to River Safari with Merilyn and Anzoe. Initially I didn't know that Anzoe was coming along and was pretty surprised! Hahah, but anyway it was an amazing day out with them since it has been YEARS since I actually went out with Anzoe! I still remember when she was my first connect group leader and we were so scared of her because she's always so serious! :P Hahaha! Anyhow, we went to River Safari and I finally walked the part of River Safari that I didn't manage to the previous time due to time constraints. Saw some cute, beautiful, and scary creatures.    And of course, I went and visit Jia Jia and Kai Kai too! They were the main reason why Anzoe came along too - because of the pandas. This time, Kai Kai wasn't exactly right in front like the other time when I saw them while doing my first light. As usual, Jia Jia is hidden up in the hill and it was hard to take a good shot of her! :(  After looking at the pandas, we went into the panda cafe!! It was something that I was looking forward to in this trip to the River Safari. We were like hoping that the Panda Bao weren't sold out when we reach, and it wasn't! Thank God. We had our oh-so-adorable Panda Bao and with staff discount, the food there is actually worth it. (Considering that that place is a tourist attraction okay!)   After eating, we went on to the animal presentation and then finally left the place. Going out with them was awesome because I was feeling so horrible the night before and that morning, they actually made me feel better without them even knowing it. They had to go to suntec and so I went home to rest. The rest of the week I had lessons and all that stuff. But I was definitely excited about my Jiayong's wedding! I did his card and got new dresses. On thursday after class I went and watch Despicable Me 2 with my classmates. It is so epic and of course cute too! The minions are too adorable.. Can I adopt them? My favourite part of the movie was of course the 'underwear song'. If you watched the movie, you will get what I mean. :) On friday, I had class and then combined cell group meeting with Rickson's cell group at Keshih's place. I've never been to his place before. The closest place that I've been to is the playground downstairs where I actually spent my first new years' eve with my friends about 4 years ago. Anyway, I went to cell group with my heavy bags... and I had to buy emergency lip balm because my lips were like dry and I had to put on lipstick the next day. After cell group, Rickson shared with us this one song that is really pretty ridiculous. It is called 'Lim Peh'. Yeah, it sounds crude to me somehow. I don't know, I mean it is rude to say that word! Not that it is a bad word, but it is just a rude way of saying 'me' in hokkien.. :/ Still don't understand why people use that word. Okay, after that we went to Scissor Cut nearby! I miss eating the scissor cut stall from bugis! It is really awesome, if you guys havent tried the one at bugis, you should go and try! It is just at a kopitiam behind Bugis+. After dinner (which I think I shouldn't eat because I ate a burger right before cell group already) I went to Ecclesia's house. It was really late. Like I reached when it was almost close to 12am? Anyway, we watched movie and talked and tied braids in hoping that tomorrow morning our hair will be wavy and curly.  Of course hers turned out fine, but not mine. My hair is meant to be straight. Ohwell! :/ I slept at 3am.. Pretty late. Morning came and I went to nearby Rivervale Plaza for breakfast with our curly hair. Hahaha, ate and quickly headed back to dress up! I was soooo lazy to wear my contact lenses before 12pm but I did it in the end. Yoga came and we took some photos and ootd before we left. (We had to!)   We headed down to JEM mall just to walk around there. We ate sogurt and then left for jurong west church.  I was supposed to be there at 3pm to rehearse for the praise and worship. Just when I thought I'm gonna be fine, I realized that we have to sing in MANDARIN! Not that it is hard for me, but praise and worship in chinese is really a whole new level! I did it in the end anyway. I'm so happy and glad that I'm given the chance to sing! :) Before the actual matirmony, I was walking up and down the whole building just doing nothing talking to people and spamming photos at the photobooth before people actually came and took photos. :P Of course my cell group also spammed the photo together with me! It's just soooooo US. *flips hair*  After the matrimony the photo taking continues......  Hahah, and that's about all I did on saturday. Left church about 9pm and went back to Ecclesia's house to claim my things and pack up and left for home. I crashed. It was so tiring! :O Had to wake up early for service.. I dragged myself up at 8am. I was tired but definitely excited because I am looking forward to the new suntec facilities! :D I think I literally skipped into the hall. Was so excited!! I took the free popcorn. Heheh! I guess everyone was equally tired, I can tell from their faces. But of course excited for service. After service me, shawn and chin had to stay back to help Kezia. While waiting I played my guitar and we sang random songs. I also took an awesome panorama shot of the hall.  Left church about 3pm and rushed back home to shower and change before going out to Farrer Park! :) Once again, the cell group had to be early because we are helping out with the photobooth. Just like the day before, we spammed photos and were the noisiest group before anyone even came! Hahaha. Took some good shots with the cell group :)      Finally we went in for the banquet. EQ and Jingxian had to sit with Jiayong's colleagues because the cell group was too big and they had to split tables. The rest of us just laughed at them because there were so awkward. Heheh, I know we were just being mean! :/ So while waiting for the food it was a little boring. We decided to play 'Heads Up'! An app that is featured on Ellen. It is really fun and we went one round. We also played mini table games like 2 truth 1 lie when the food finally arrived. It was a good fellowship time with the cell group :) As expected, we are the noisest group in the whole dinner. No shame. Hahah! :P It was really fun though. We are like in one corner and then we make so much noise. We also made friends with the waitress auntie even before the banquet start! The power of N507. Hahah. After the banquet we just packed up and went back home. Gladys's dad fetched us home. Woke up today dragging my feet to excursion....... PS: Congrats Dorothy and Jiayong! :) I'm so happy for the both of you. I know I have wished you many times but I'm still gonna write it on my blog anyway. I know one of you will read this. Have an amazing journey with each other and enjoy one another's company for the rest of your life. The both of you are really perfect for each other, a couple made in heaven. Hope that you'll have a blissful marriage and that you'll have babies soon! I can't wait to take care of him/her! ;) Hehehe!   |
